MINIBALL

MINIBALL is a highly efficient gamma-detector array made up of a compact array of segmented high purity germanium detectors, and is suited for work on low intensity radioactive-beams. It was developed by physicists from around Europe and is available for use by the nuclear structure physics community.

MINIBALL is usually located at CERN in Switzerland and is used with the ISOLDE radioactive ion beam facility and the REX-ISOLDE post-accelerator. However its mobility allows it to be used in other experimental setups.
